This design looks (per their hype) like an instrument that spans 80 years, an excellent blend of acoustic & electric. Extra points for putting tapewounds on the showpiece." The fretted transparent-black version is plenty spiffy, but the antique-natural fretless is a jaw-dropper. Five-layer bolt-on neck. Not one but TWO Shadow NanoMAG pickups -- like a FRAP with 21st century technology -- with bass & treble for each, & stereo output. MSRP $1,335, commonly ~$750 new, $600 used. Don't have any experience with those pickups. Good to see Epi getting out from under Gibson's shadow a bit.
