I'm pretty attached to my Alvarez 5019 "Midnight Special":

Alvarez 5019, that's now the #1 hit --- go, team, go!!

)
It's a striking axe, but now that it's getting up in years I'm hoping to maintain the look. Well, Washburn seems to have answered me, & then some. Their site claims that the
5SB "Black Knight" family is still current, but every online dealer (like 123, GC, & MF) say it's dead.
Which looks to be a shame. The prices (when they're around) are similar to the cheaper Oscar Schmidt OG2 & OF2 lines (very good guitars for the price, btw), but with more options. Scalloped braces, abalone rosette, mahogany neck, white-bound neck & headstock. Theres the 5SBWD (dreadnought) & 5SBWPJ ("petite jumbo") at list $265, as well as full jumbo (WJ 5SCEB) & mini-jumbo (WMJ 5SCEB) for $355. All in black, of course.
Anyway, World Music Supply is dumping the dreadnought on eBay for $145 delivered:

While I haven't had the chance to try this model yet, my experience with recent Washburn models has been quite good, & I think you could do worse than give one a try.
