I chat with Mike fairly regularly on Skype. He has been ill these past few mths off & on and is in hospital currently.

I think prices will vary dependant on whats asked for.

Some of the stuff he may have displayed are special runs that have been requested and will run significantly higher than the basic $250 starting price.

I will tell him to drop a post in here when he can.

Cheers.

UPDATE:
Mike, aka Pootao, has told me to pass on his appologies for any slowness and lack of progress.

He also told me to let you know he is back in hospital, including a stint in ICU, for ongoing health concerns.

He hopes to get well enough soon, to fire up the CNC machine again!

Cheers.

Could you pass along a couple of thoughts?

First: LAY THE HECK DOWN & GET WELL!!! Having destroyed my health at least twice trying to get businesses launched, in the long run it AIN'T worth it -- if you're dead, you're no good to anyone.

Second: GET A PARTNER. Find someone young & healthy to do half the work for 5%-10% of your personal cut -- it's MUCH better than clinging to 100% of nothing. I speak from experience: either I can do financials really well, or I can do marketing really well... but when I try to do both at the same time, I'm horrible.

For the audience-at-large: that $250 is for designs they have on-file. All they've got to do it stuff a body blank into the CNC router, select the right file on the computer screen, & press Enter. For hand-building an electric, that's the heavy lifting!! After that, it's down to paint, wiring, & a few screws.

Given the plethora of cool low-end electrics on the market, that may look inflated... until you remember that a custom repaint will set you back easily $200+. If you can get the body style & guts you want, with little or no compromise, & with a color that's perfect for you, you're WAAAAY ahead of the game for $250. Applause

Hallo all

I, after first having had the problems with flooding and now having severe problems with my health, decided to take time to get well again which may take a while. I hope people understand that this is not easy to decide but I have no choice. I cannot find staff who can do all 100% good and I cannot control products so I regret to say here that there will be NO production for an unknown time. Hope you all will understand.

Regards
Pootao

I don't have a problem with other guitar companies copying body styles, but you guys are copying PRS USA Custom Shop Headstock logos and the bird inlays. I would not buy anything from you as your basically making knock offs without putting PRS on them. Make your own brand logo and be original. We already have enough copycat illegal companies out there. I own two legit PRS guitars and you guys have no shame. Just out to make a buck.

Dude, I don't know who you are talking to, and I don't know who you are talking about, but I do have a suggestion: Try a little less caffeine.

I was referring to the company in regards to this article who is making obvious knock off PRS guitars. He was posting on this forum. I am all aboutthe budget guitar. I just don't care for these so-called companies making rip-off's of other's hard work. Supporting these guys only contributes to the problem, that is causing the American market to be flooded with knock off's that are low quality and take away buisness from legit companies. I own several guitars that are made in China and Korea, but they are legal. BTW Caffeine is your friend in the am.

Cheers.

Didn't mean to hide, Terry. I've been busy with family problems lately, but I have been playing at least. Speaking of playing, I am having some mods done on my Tele, it's an extra tone knob and a five way switch, with position two being both pickups in series in phase and position 4 both pickups in series out of phase. About 70 bucks for the parts but it will be pretty cool when I am done.
