I've got a good list of vendors, & this Internet thing is proving handy, but I've already found a couple of shortfalls, so I'm open to ideas. -- 8-pin ZIF sockets. 40-pin are cheap & plentiful, 16-pin almost as much, but I'd like to have something perfect for the need. -- cases. I like the selection from Tricked Out Guitar, but I'd prefer to have options other than back-milled aluminum. Allied used to sell one that was a milled frame with sheet-metal front AND back panels, which made builds/mods a breeze. And the prices are darned good for one-offs, like predrilled & painted for $11.60-$13.00: http://www.pedalpartsplus.com/m...&Category_Code=EncOS Or abstract colors (undrilled) for $11.50: http://www.pedalpartsplus.com/m...amp;Category_Code=ENCAAP They carry the 1290, 125, 1590, 1690, & 1411 sizes, have various "blem" boxes for 40% or so off, a good selection of cheap waterslide decals (hey, $1/set???), & while $100 setup for a run of custom-screened pedals might seem high, it's a one-time charge & spreads out easy over a couple dozen units. I may be doing some business with PPP for my prototypes...
