Hey all!

I'm in a bit of a slump and too poor to pay for my old guitar teacher for regular guitar lessons so I've been scouring the web for frugal guitar lessons. Does anyone have a favorite site that they use?

I guess I wouldn't mind paying 15 bucks or so a month if it is good content, but I do prefer FREE.

Sites I've seen:

guitarnoise.com (last time I checked they had to take down all of their lessons
guitarmasterclass.net (just found today -- looks good a lot of lessons)
guitarjamz.com (free trial with the marty guy from youtube -- decent site)
guitartricks (did a trial a while ago...wasn't too interested)

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Greg

p.s. Mainly looking for blues, rock, jazz.

Justinguitar.com is a free lesson site I've used on occasion. Lately though, I've just been using (guitarjamz) Marty's YouTube sites whenever I want a guitar lesson.

After so many years of independent study, I'm flirting with the idea of taking some private instruction. The only lessons I ever took were when I was in college. The feedback you receive and having someone to force you to stick to goals might be worth the money...

I love Guitar Techniques Magazine, comes out once a month and is around $17. http://www.musicradar.com/guitartechniques

It has more than enough information for a couple of months. Always has classic rock and jazz, sometimes blues, country and classical. And then one special feature: reggae, cuban, african, etc. Usually one acoustic song and theory every month. It comes with a CD and backing tracks, along with tab and music. Worth every cent. And if you don't see anything for that month, skip it. Like I said each magazine has plenty of info.

The music radar http://www.musicradar.com site has articles under "tuition" Here's an article on 40 great blues intros and outros http://www.musicradar.com/tuiti...intros-and-outros-442747.

I've never really used the website because I get the magazine.

Good Luck
Victor
