Okay, I am offficially in love with thsi guitar. Now I need a hard case for it and I do not want to pay the PRS name. What case do those you that have one use for an SE? I've looked through several forums and it seems Gator may have a case that works but I was curious of any suggestions from this most frugal of forums.

I've got an SKB hard case which fits Fender style guitars but I never use it honestly. Much prefer to strap a gig bag to my back. Haven't had an issue yet...fingers crossed. Been tempted to get a Mono but they're so dang expensive!

My first thought was for a Coffin Case G-185 or DL-125 universal. A little less chunky than the usual Fender-style slab.

The PRS looks a bit thinner than a Les Paul, so maybe a fitted SG case?:

The tan Gator is distinctive, solidly built, shrouded, & a mere $100. Almost makes the "magenta" liner forgiveable. Scared Doesn't look like it's shaped only for double-cut guitars.

I shouldn't overlook Rondo's stock:

Not at all bad-looking for $50-$100. I really like the "wrap" handles on the EGC (middle three) cases.

Wow Tony, good work. I actually have 2 of those 5 at home. The middle one, the brown case, and the last one. I bought the brown case with my Agile AL-2500. The SE does kind of fit in there but not real good. And the last one, with my SX Ash Tele copy, I have not tried because I also have an Agile ST-1000, Strat copy, and it did not fit in that case. The SE's body is wider than a Strat or Tele.

My wife actually got involved, she wanted on the computer while I was searching for a case, and she said just get the PRS case from Sweetwater. They are due to be delivered the 12th of February but they are $129. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/PRSCase/

I am considering the Gator case that is designed for wider bodies. It shows a PRS in the case and several reviews on Amazon talk of a PRS fitting nicely in the case.

I am considering the Gator but I like to get the case that fits the guitar. You should see how guitars get handled during load in and out and this guitar will get used at gigs.

If you think you will have the guitar for a while, I'd get the PRS case. I know, I know, it costs more. But you'll be happiest with it in the long run. Either that or a cheap gig bag!

All the PRS SE's that I've bought (currently 3 of them) have come with really nice gig bags. I always thought if I needed a case I could use one of the cases from my other guitars (Epiphone, Gibson, and Fender hard shells) but I never thought to check the fit, sorry.

WichitaJazz and I were thinking the same. Yesterday, my slaes associate from Sweetwater called and we discussed the cases and how their web site doesn't reflect inventory well on that type on item because they are usually bought before they get to Sweetwater. He is going to pull one from inventory for me as soon as they get there. So I'm going with the PRS case. This guitar will get used at gigs a lot so I decided to go with the best protection for it.

I still owe pictures and an official review of the guitar. I'm working on it.
