Hey guys and gals. I've been thinking about potentially opening up an small FG web store to sell parts and effects pedals. Your feedback is extremely important so please take the time to answer the poll. Thanks!

No doubt...I'm always looking for frugal parts. Also...I'm not a lefty but there seems to be a pretty big demand for the odd "lefty" parts on AGF...some things can go both ways but others not...could be a nice little niche?

That would be a fantastic idea, just as long as you kept value for money at the forefront and keep it "Frugal".

Yes. (Where is the "yes" button?)

You have good taste in affordable gear, and many players would benefit from your research and diligence on the products you would offer.

I agree that it sounds like a good idea. Is there a way I can help?

I am also in favor of it. My only question is would it cause problems because you are competing with current favorites such as Rondo and Guitarfetish? I don't have an answer for that. What do you think Will?

Well, competition is what it is. I for sure won't be offering any full guitars nor pickups which eliminates a big portion of the competition. Also, I have no desire to rebrand anything. If the pedal/part is a solid design from an established (Asian or other) manufacturer, I'll sell it with their branding. I'm not a designer, I'm a player. I hope to also offer discounted or free shipping but we'll have to see what the profit margin is.

Regarding pedals well it would certainly create a potential conflict of interest in doing some reviews so you probably won't see many more reviews of pedals (certainly none by me) which the FG shop doesn't carry. But we'll march on with guitars, amps, software, article, etc.

I think it sounds like a great idea. I get tired of the same offerings from the big Guitar Centers & competitors, so a place to find new quality stuff at a frugal price is very appealing. You could also couple audio & video demonstrations if time allows, which would be really helpful!
