Ran across this on Sirius Deep Tracks.
This was a Super Rock Blues Group in the 60s, Electric Flag.
Featuring the great Late, Mike Bloomfield, and Buddy Miles.
A twofer, "Going Down Slow", & "Killing Floor"
Best with Head Phones.

RIP GREGG ALLMAN, Along with Butch Trucks, Duane Allman, Allen Woody, & Berry Oakley.
Here's a song I always liked by the Gregg band, without all the All Bros.
"Not my Cross to Bear"

Mike Bloomfield was an amazing guitar player and was part of Dylan's acoustic to electric transition.
The Electric flag was great. I wore that record out all the way through to the other side.
We had a cover band in my area that did all of their music. They too were incredible. I love the blend of brass and guitar.
again thanks for the post big_teee

She sure was a Sugar Mamma!

She was so young there!
Hard to imagine she's been on the scene since the 70's!

I have a new vid of Ethan.
He entered the Big Pines Blues Festival Junior Showcase contest Last Saturday at Longview Texas.
It used to be the the T-Bone Walker Bluesfest.
There were 15 qualifying contestants, with mail in videos, all no older than 18.
He had to play one 5 minute song, and they judged strictly on guitar playing, but you could sing if you wanted too!
You could use a backup tape, if you didn't have a back line.
He was prepared to use a backup track, but he met a drummer and bass player that offered to back him up.
No rehearsal, and a new song he had not officially performed before.
He's playing his guitar and pedal board, the rest is the stage equipment.
He came in 2nd out of 15.
The winner was a boy from Nashville Tenn.
His vocal is much better now that the pollen is off the trees.
Poppa thinks he did great! BigGrin

Thanks A-M for the Kudos.
Ethan is staying busy.
Next week he goes to the Pinetop perkins blues camp, and workshop.
He has an all expense paid scholarship to the camp.
It is in Clarksdale MS, home of the Robert Johnson Devils Crossroads.
Where Robert Johnson had his much talked about, deal with the devil.
https://pinetopperkinsfoundation.org/workshop
They end the camp week friday night performing at the Morgan Freeman Center, called Ground Zero.
The camp and workshops, work with possible up and coming Blues Performers.
The rest of the summer, he's busy being a lifeguard at the local state water park.
He also has several gigs coming up through the summer.
